You should not be taking prednisolone or immuno-suppressant drugs
You should have a stable glasses prescription for at least a year
Your cornea must be thick enough to allow tissue removal for laser refractive surgery safely
You have healthy eyes, in particular it may not be advisable to proceed if you have pre-existing dry eye problems, corneal scarring or keratoconus
Your corneal shape must also meet our stringent guidelines for treatment protocols
It is recommended that you are in good general health, in particular, autoimmune diseases and poorly controlled diabetes may limit the effectiveness of the surgery or result in problems with the healing process
If you do not meet these criteria, there may be other treatment options available for you, so please ask.
Treatment is not advisable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
